Hi all. 

My dad passed away a few years ago and he was a huge photography enthusiast.  He left me all  his photography gear, which I’ve left packed away, but it really is wasted with me as I have no idea.  I use the camera on my iPhone and that is enough for me :) Anyway, I was looking at selling the lot and using the money to treat my mum.

He was a Pentax lover, I know that much.  The box has heaps of different cameras, lenses and other stuff that I have no idea what it is.  I know some of the cameras are DSLR (that's about the limit of my photography knowledge), many are Pentax.  I can’t really list it as I’ve no idea what I’m referring to so I’m wondering what my best option might be to sell the lot?  Also I assume the condition of all the items would need to be considered.  My dad always took good care of his equipment and most things are still in their original box, but they have been packed away for a few years so I'm thinking always best to check. 

Should I take everything to some place like Ted’s Cameras at Mount Gravatt (as that is near me)?  Or what else should I do?  I obviously want to avoid being ripped off and am after a fair market place value, so wondering if anyone may have suggestions for the best way for me to approach this?
