This is a great little unit pumps out 400 flashes at full output on a set of four AA alkaline batteries – that’s almost infinite in typical use in TTL with recycling in just 2 seconds.  Whilst originally designed for use with film cameras, the SB-23 also makes for a great lightweight manual flash for Nikon DSLRs.  Ideal for family and party snaps on any nikon DSLR.
